Life Divine

The silence broke, the meter stopped
The ride was over, overclocked!
She had been dealt a faulty hand
............impossible to understand

She never gambled, you will say
Life is a game - in its own way
Some gamble more, Some gamble less
The game of life is much like chess...
with Kings and Queens and Knights alike
You risk a sudden fearful strike..

The game we play, however merry
Always winds up on Charon's Ferry
He has no meter - just one fee
Regardless if it's you or me

Your Pretty Mette, I am sure
Will have one hell of a good tour
He knows her story - and is proud
He'll prob'ly take the scenic route

So, don't you worry, Mette's fine!
No fear.....no pain....., just life divine
